Where confidence begins
Junior School at St Catherine’s is where our girls take their first steps as learners, friends and members of our community. It is a time of curiosity, discovery and growth, where students are encouraged to explore new experiences, build meaningful relationships and develop confidence in themselves and their abilities. From the beginning, thoughtful orientation experiences and supportive routines help every girl feel connected, secure and ready to learn.
Known and valued
Strong partnerships in learning and care
With up to 350 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, our Junior School is a community where every child is known and valued. Experienced teachers nurture each student’s individual strengths while fostering the warmth, energy and connection that comes from shared school life. Strong partnerships with families ensure parents feel informed, supported and confident throughout their daughter’s journey.
A vibrant and engaging learning environment
A strong sense of belonging
Within a vibrant and engaging learning environment, girls learn to collaborate, show kindness and contribute positively to those around them. As they explore interests, build friendships and embrace new challenges, they develop a strong sense of belonging and an understanding of their place within the community.
These early experiences lay the foundations for confidence, resilience and a love of learning, preparing girls to move into Senior School with assurance, optimism and a strong sense of who they are.
