Indigenous Students

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives are valued and celebrated throughout school life.

Celebrating culture, learning and connection

At St Catherine’s, we are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students can thrive. Through strong partnerships with Indigenous communities and organisations, we provide meaningful pathways into the School and personalised support from our dedicated Indigenous Student Coordinator, who works closely with students, families and staff to nurture academic success and wellbeing.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives are celebrated throughout school life. Through cultural learning experiences, visits from Elders and participation in initiatives such as Culture in Curriculum Week, Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week, students develop a deeper understanding of First Nations cultures while strengthening our shared commitment to respect, inclusion and reconciliation.

Applying for an Indigenous Scholarship

Indigenous scholarships follow a separate application process and are offered in the Senior School through our partnership with the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF).  We also maintain strong relationships with the GO Foundation and the Moriarty Foundation, and may consider applications through these organisations on a case-by-case basis.

  • Complete an AIEF Scholarship Application Form.
  • Submit an online enrolment application to St Catherine’s. (Please note that our enrolment application fee is waived for Indigenous scholarship applicants).

We’re here to help

We understand that every student’s journey is unique, and we are committed to supporting families throughout the application process. To arrange an enrolment fee waiver or to learn more about Indigenous scholarships and enrolment opportunities, we would be delighted to hear from you:
