A well governed school
The St Catherine’s School Council provides strategic oversight and supports the Headmistress in upholding the School’s identity, values and long-term direction. Responsible for ensuring strong governance, sustainability and the wellbeing of the School community, the Council helps guide St Catherine’s with a focus on its future growth and success.
Strong stewardship
Comprising lay and clergy representatives from the Anglican Church of Australia, the Council brings expertise across education, governance, finance and community leadership. Through regular meetings and the work of its Infrastructure, Finance and Risk, and Governance subcommittees, the Council oversees key areas of strategy, stewardship and risk management. It also holds responsibility for appointing the Headmistress, ensuring strong leadership and continuity for future generations of St Catherine’s students.
