Wellbeing in Senior School

Every student is supported by a dedicated team who take the time to understand her strengths, aspirations and challenges.

Supporting girls to thrive

At St Catherine’s, wellbeing is built on the belief that girls thrive when they feel known, supported and connected. Through our Academic Care Program, students develop the confidence, resilience and self-awareness to navigate the opportunities and challenges of adolescence. As girls grow in independence, they are encouraged to take increasing ownership of their learning and wellbeing, supported by strong partnerships between students, staff and families.

Every student is supported by a dedicated team who take the time to understand her strengths, aspirations and challenges. Our Student Care Pathway ensures girls receive the right support at the right time, with additional guidance available through our Assistant Head of Senior School – Student Care, School Psychologist and School Nurse.

We’re never alone at St Cath’s.
We’ll always be there for one another,
to support each other throughout this journey.

A network of care

Building connection and belonging

House-based tutor groups provide a consistent point of connection through regular check-ins, guidance and reflection, helping strengthen relationships and a shared culture of wellbeing. Our house activities and House Squads foster school spirit, leadership and belonging, while building friendships and connections across year levels.

Preparing for life beyond school

Students engage in age-appropriate learning experiences focused on digital citizenship, safe decision-making, wellbeing practices and financial literacy, helping them develop the skills and confidence to navigate life beyond the classroom.
