Caring for others
Service is one of our core values at St Catherine’s, and we are committed to helping students understand the needs of others and respond with compassion. These experiences encourage girls to think beyond themselves, build social awareness and grow into young women confident in their ability to shape a fairer, more connected world.
In Year 10, I went on the Cambodia service trip
ella
and that was probably the most amazing experience
I’ve ever had, not just at school, but in my whole life.
It was really eye-opening. I’m really lucky that St Cath’s
was able to offer that experience for us.
Opportunities to serve
Students engage in a wide range of service opportunities, including year level and house based initiatives, local volunteering and global service tours. Many activities are student-led, providing meaningful opportunities for leadership, collaboration and advocacy.
Through service, girls engage with real world issues such as conservation, Indigenous rights, poverty, animal welfare, food insecurity and refugee support. By learning, leading and serving together, students develop a strong sense of responsibility and a lifelong commitment to service beyond school.
