Beginning your St Catherine’s journey
Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At St Catherine’s, we understand that every child is unique, and we are here to guide and support you throughout the enrolment process.
As a close-knit school community, we work in partnership with families to help every girl grow in confidence, character and purpose. From your first enquiry through to your daughter’s first day, we are available to answer questions and help you feel informed and supported every step of the way.
Our enrolment process
At St Catherine’s, we welcome new students at four key entry points: Kindergarten, Year 3, Year 5 and Year 7. Students who join our Junior School enjoy a seamless pathway into the Senior School with priority entry provided. As places are in high demand, we encourage families to apply early. Please note that short-term enrolments are not available.
We encourage families to submit an online enrolment application as early as possible. Once your application has been received, your daughter will be placed on our waitlist. From there, our Enrolments team will stay in touch, providing updates and supporting you throughout the process. We are always happy to answer questions and help guide you through the next steps.
We invite families to discover St Catherine’s firsthand by attending one of our Open Mornings, Headmistress’ Tours or a private tour. These visits offer the opportunity to explore our campus, hear from students and staff, and meet members of our leadership team. Most importantly, they provide a chance to experience a genuine sense of our community and determine whether St Catherine’s is the right fit for your family.
Approximately two years before your daughter’s intended commencement year, you and your daughter may be invited to attend an interview. These conversations are relaxed, welcoming and age appropriate, giving us the opportunity to get to know your daughter as an individual and to learn more about your family’s hopes and aspirations for her education.
Following the interview process, applications are carefully reviewed and families are typically notified of the outcome within one month. If an offer is made, we will provide all relevant information and guide you through the next steps.
Families who receive an offer are invited to accept the place and submit the enrolment fee within two weeks. Once the enrolment fee has been received, your daughter’s place at St Catherine’s is confirmed, and we look forward to officially welcoming your family into our community.
Before your daughter’s first day, we help ensure she feels confident, connected and ready to begin her St Catherine’s journey. Families are invited to attend orientation events, meet key staff, arrange uniform fittings, participate in campus tours and access our orientation portal. These experiences are designed to help both students and parents feel familiar with the School, build important connections and start the year with confidence.
