Sport and Beyond the Curriculum

Students are encouraged to participate in ways that feel meaningful to them.

Where girls discover their strengths

At St Catherine’s, sport and Beyond the Curriculum (BTC) activities help girls build confidence, develop new skills and explore interests beyond the classroom. With a wide range of opportunities available, students are encouraged to participate in ways that feel meaningful to them, whether they are trying something new, pursuing a passion or striving for high performance.

A distinctive spirit runs through cocurricular life at St Catherine’s. Girls encourage one another, celebrate effort and embrace challenges together. Across every activity, the focus is on growth, wellbeing, teamwork and enjoyment, alongside skill development and achievement.

Building skills for life

Through sport and BTC programs, students develop resilience, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills while embracing new challenges and experiences. Whether competing as part of a team, pursuing personal goals or participating in outdoor education activities, girls learn the value of perseverance, collaboration and self-belief. These experiences foster confidence, encourage healthy habits and create lasting friendships, equipping students with the skills, character and sense of wellbeing they need to thrive both during their school years and into the future.
