High quality facilities.

St Catherine’s has a wide array of contemporary spaces and facilities that together provide an immersive experience for students from Kindergarten through to their final years.

From classrooms and study spaces, play areas and lawns, to research centres, science labs, workshops, sports courts and the Performing Arts & Aquatic Centre, students have everything they could need to explore their passions and develop their unique abilities.

Our campus

Performing Arts & Aquatic Centre.

Our Performing Arts & Aquatic Centre opened in January 2022 and provides an integrated suite of spaces that enable students to train, perform, compete and exercise across a variety of interests and disciplines, using the very latest in equipment and technology.

This highly adaptable centre allows students to explore new interests and develop their unique gifts and talents to the very highest levels. Its considered design and layout also offers a wide degree of flexibility in hosting a range of different activities and events.

AD ASTRA.

The commissioned artwork AD ASTRA by leading Australian artist Marion Borgelt, hangs proudly in our new Performing Arts & Aquatic Centre.

AD ASTRA’s design inspires excellence and the name in Latin means “reach for the stars”. It encapsulates perfectly the principles of St Catherine’s.

   Aquatic Centre.

This 12-lane, 25 metre, heated pool supports girls’ aquatic endeavours including water polo, diving and swimming.

It also houses the Barry Rodgers Learn to Swim Pool, in which we run our popular Learn To Swim program.

Barry Rodgers, Australian Ironman and our dedicated swimming coach for almost 40 years, taught generations of St Catherine’s students to swim. This pool has been named in his honour.

   Performing Arts Theatre.

Our 502-seat Performing Arts Theatre enhances our existing performing arts curriculum, and provides the perfect space to deliver modern day theatre and performances.

It offers a 10-metre deep stage with 5-metre wings and a full orchestra pit.

Multi-purpose Hall.

The Multi-purpose Hall links to the Performing Arts Auditorium by a shared foyer, offering a flexible space to support events when the auditorium is in use.

When operating independently, the Multi-purpose Hall is designed to facilitate a range of activities such as school examinations, BTC events and social functions.

Learn to swim.

Our popular Learn to Swim school provides a range of options to St Catherine’s students and the wider community during term time and school holidays.

Each program provides multiple entry points, catering for every level from infants to club and competition and focusing on building confidence, learning safety and improving stroke technique. The overall goal is to deliver a fun and enjoyable experience while developing a valuable lifetime skill.

All at St Catherine’s School acknowledge the Bidjigal and Gadigal people of the Eora nation, the traditional custodians of the lands on which the school sits,
and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We extend this respect to the continuation of the cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
