About the RPAC

A key objective identified in our current strategic plan is the building of an integrated complex comprising aquatics, performing arts and research centres as well as space for other multi-purpose functions.

Mayoh Architects designed the complex, which will be built over two stages (Stage 1a and Stage 1b). Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) has been appointed as our builder for the first of these stages which is the aquatic centre, performing arts auditorium and multi-purpose hall.

This is a significant and exciting project for St Catherine's and we are committed to its successful completion.

aquatic centre

 
  • The Aquatic Centre will enhance the school’s existing PDHPE curriculum and provide a state-of-the art platform to support the school’s extra curricular programs such as water-polo, learn to swim, diving and lap swimming.

Performing arts auditorium

 
  • A state-of-the-art Performing Arts Auditorium will enhance the school’s existing performing arts curriculum by providing a facility that integrates the operational mechanics of modern day theatre with a world class performance venue. The current design includes an orchestra pit for approximately 30 and guest seating for more than 489. The stage will be 10m deep with 5m wide wings.

  • In the current design the Multi-Purpose Hall links to the Performing Arts Auditorium via a shared foyer, offering a flexible space to support events when the Auditorium is in use. When operating independently, the Multi-Purpose Hall is designed to accommodate a variety of events including School examinations, breakfast, lunch and dinner events with parents and other members of the School community, orientation day and graduation day events for junior and senior students, cocktail parties and other social and learning activities.​
