The Board of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) met and confirmed that the HSC examinations will continue to be held this year.

NESA acknowledged that this is a very anxious time for HSC students and their families.  They are encouraging students to continue to work hard, look after their wellbeing and reach out to family members, teachers and other support groups during this time.

NESA is providing schools with greater autonomy with regards to the number and weighting of HSC assessment tasks.  The St Catherine's curriculum team will be working through this for each course over the coming weeks and any changes will be communicated to you.

Further decisions specific to HSC major works and projects, drama and music performances will be announced by NESA later this week.  I write to you again when this information is released.
