The Foundation and giving - Future proofing our girls

St Catherine’s is extremely fortunate to have had, throughout its 160 year history, facilities that have been supported through investment by generations of parents, friends and supporters. This tradition of giving has been a wonderful reflection of the School community for which we are most grateful.

Like many independent schools, St Catherine’s uses school fees to pay for teachers, non teaching staff and operating costs. Through the Foundation, established in 1983, we continue to rely on the generosity of the St Catherine’s community to help deliver major building projects, provide scholarships and upgrade information resources.

There are several rewarding ways to express your own passion for education and contribute to the life journey of thousands of St Catherine’s girls now and in the future.

Provide new assets and buildings

At St Catherine’s, our aim is to provide a broad, challenging and vibrant education for our girls. Our students live in a world that is changing faster than ever before and as a school and a community, it is our duty to make sure they are equipped to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

We cannot achieve this by standing still.

Many of the School’s facilities are nearing the end of their practical life and it is our vision to create a multi-purpose research, performing arts and aquatic centre (RPAC) that will transform the opportunities available to our girls for generations to come.

With construction of RPAC commencing midyear, we are asking our community to invest in the future of our girls. There are a number of ways you can make your mark on St Catherine’s with a donation to RPAC, whether it be for a commemorative paver, an auditorium seat, a pool lane, or in honour of our much loved swimming coach Barry Rodgers a donation to the Learn to Swim pool.

Share access to education

Your gift to the Scholarship Fund will help build an endowment to enable future students to attend St Catherine's. During 2015 and following the passing of former Headmistress Miss Faith Patterson AM, the Foundation launched an appeal to raise funds for the Faith Patterson Scholarship Fund in memory of Miss Patterson.

Support technology and access to information

Libraries and Resource Centres meet a myriad of needs for students at St Catherine’s. Technology sits at the core of learning in the School's 21st century classroom. You can feel confident that your gift to the Library Fund will support our key priorities of striving for excellence in learning and teaching and advancing library and information technology resources.

The Fielding Fellowship

A bequest is another way to provide financial support for St Catherine’s. Remembering the School in your Will is the ultimate gift; a way of expressing the affection you have for St Catherine’s, making a valuable contribution to the future of the School.

The Fielding Fellowship has been established to honour and recognise members of our community for their generosity and foresight in making a bequest to the School.
