The school is grateful to the many corporate sponsors who have shown their support throughout the year.
The aim of this program is to embrace the wider school community, develop warm and ongoing relationships with the corporate sector and introduce an innovative approach to our fundraising strategies.
St Catherine's School, through the St Catherine's Foundation, looks forward to forging a warm and ongoing relationship with our corporate partners.
We are delighted to announce a corporate partnership with Pillinger to support the St Catherine's Tildesley Tennis team. The Tildesley Shield is the pinnacle competition of the St Catherine's tennis program. The financial support given by Pillinger through this corporate partnership will assist with additional court hire and specialist coach instruction, ensuring the Tildesley squad is best prepared for competition going forward.
The team is made up of students from Years 7 - 12 who represent the School at the championships played annually against other IGSSA member schools. The Tildesley Shield began in 1918 and is the longest running IGSSA sports carnival. The St Catherine's team has markedly improved over recent past carnivals, posting the three highest placings in its history. This year's second place was particularly special with girls competing in the semi-finals of the singles tournament.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Pillinger for this marvellous corporate support.
Our corporate partnership program continues to grow, and we are thrilled to announce that Eastcourts Tennis Club has come on board in support of St Catherine's tennis.
The growth and achievement of our tennis girls has been fantastic to see and we look forward to watching them go from strength to strength over the coming years.
The generous donation of Le Club prizes for our silent auction was very much appreciated and we look forward to forward to forging a strong relationship with Eastcourts Tennis Club in 2018.
We are delighted to announce a corporate partnership with
Open Colleges Group to support the St Catherine's Senior School Robotics team and their participation in the First Robotics Challenge (FRC).
Entry and participation in the FRC Challenge would not have been possible without the generous support of Open Colleges Group.
Thank you to
Core Mortgage Brokers who have partnered with St Catherine's to support our netball program.
Acquisition of a tent for our netball girls has been made possible through the generous support of Core Mortgage Brokers.
The ACO and St Catherine's School are excited to announce a partnership to support the ACO's National Education Program, with a particular focus on programs in Penrith.
The partnership establishes a cultural exchange program between St Catherine's and St Mary's North Primary School, providing opportunities for music and friendship activities between the schools and complementing the music education programs established at St Mary's North by the ACO in 2015.
Over the course of 2016 students from St Catherine's and St Mary's North have attended concerts by ACO Collective and the Penrith Strings at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, experience the behind-the-scenes excitement of the ACO in rehearsal at its Circular Quay Studio and participate in inter-school visits.
A highlight of the program took place in June for the St Catherine's Senior String Symphony and The Scots College Senior Strings to work with the musicians of the ACO at our annual Strings Workshop held at the school. A combined concert followed the workshop which included a piece - Parva Res - commissioned for St Catherine's by Australian composer Professor Mary Finsterer. This commissioned work was generously funded by the St Catherine's P&F Association.
Our partnership with the ACO provides a marvellous opportunity to further a love of music and to widen the opportunities and experiences for our girls and the students of St Mary's North. We look forward to welcoming St Mary's students to St Catherine's in November for a workshop with our Year 6 students and combined concert.
Funding for this program has been arranged through St Catherine's Foundation Corporate partnership program and generous philanthropic support.
