How to Apply for Enrolment at St Catherine's

Please complete the Application for Enrolment form and return it to the School together with the appropriate application fee, as indicated on the fee schedule, your daughter’s birth certificate and, if applicable, her last two school reports and Basic Skills Record. Please note that girls will usually be five years old by 30 April of the year they are to commence Kindergarten.

Applications are placed on a waiting list in order of receipt for the nominated year of entry. (Please note that this does not guarantee a place at the School.) While applications are processed in order of receipt, families with siblings who are already attending St Catherine’s or direct descendants of Old Girls will be given priority on the waiting list. All offers of a place are subject to availability and are at the discretion of the Headmistress.

Each prospective student and her parents or guardian will be invited to an interview at the School. Interviews are generally held two years prior to the proposed year of entry, or as needed for incidental vacancies. The Registrar will contact you to arrange this and request any further documentation required.

The School gathers information and consults with parents/guardians and other relevant persons to consider each applicant’s educational needs and to identify any strategies which would need to be put in place to accommodate the applicant. The information collected prior to the interview and the interview responses are also considered in assessing the applicant’s ability and willingness to support the School’s ethos.  After the interview a decision is made regarding the enrolment and parents notified of the outcome.

Once an offer of enrolment is made, the current enrolment fee and formal acceptance of the School’s Conditions of Entry are required as confirmation of acceptance of enrolment. On-going enrolment is subject to the student continuing to benefit from the School’s programmes, her adherence to the School’s rules and the payment of all fees and charges.
