St Catherine's is built on the foundations of the Christian faith and though it is culturally rich and diverse, there are strong links across all sections of our community. It is a place where people are valued and parents, friends of the school, students and staff work together.
St Catherine's is chosen by parents for its caring ethos, its strong educational focus, its commitment to providing for each child as an individual, and its friendly and open environment. The majority of students at the School come from the adjacent suburbs although the catchment area is very extensive. The main intake years are Kindergarten, Year 5, Year 7 and Year 11, with approximately one third of Year 7 girls entering from other primary schools. Our teachers are similarly diverse in their outlook and their backgrounds, but all are supportive of the Christian ethos of the School. They are well-qualified professionals, passionate about teaching, committed to life long learning and to providing opportunities for the next generation. They bring to St Catherine's a range of experiences in others schools, in other careers and in their lives as active members of the wider community beyond St Catherine's.
