Out of School Hours Care

Today the pace of life is vey hectic and families today are busy. St Catherine's School seeks to support parents and students by providing a safe, nurturing environment in our Before and After school care facilities, and in our Study Club. Vacation Care is also offered for part of every holiday period.

After School Care

After School Care is provided in the Junior School for girls in Kindergarten to Year 4. Girls have free time, craft and games followed by afternoon tea, then homework time. Older girls work at tables in year groups while younger ones read to staff members. Once homework is completed students have free time until 6.00pm. Girls may change into casual clothes for After School Care.

Through these programmes, students can develop new friendships in a supportive environment and parents can feel assured that their daughters are being supported in their studies and supervised while they take advantage of all the School offers.

Before School Care

Before School Care is available in the Boarding House from 7.00am for Junior School students. Girls have breakfast in the Boarding House and are walked across to their classrooms by senior students.

Study Club

Study Club is an after-school provision for students in Years 5 to 8. Students of this age group are recognized as having particular needs and the Club, which is based in the Boarding House provides a safe and nurturing environment. Students have recreational activities, as well as homework supervision and access to the School library and computing facilities. It provides an opportunity for young adolescents to mix together in a caring environment.
