News: UNSW Price Waterhouse Coopers Business Studies and Economics -Impressive results

Years 11 and 12 St Catherine’s students of Business Studies and Economics gained impressive results in the UNSW Price Waterhouse Coopers National competitions.

The Year 12 results were most impressive. Veronica Melick was awarded a High Distinction and Cash Prize for gaining results in the top 1% in Business Studies. Veronica likes the practical applications of the Business Studies course and its relevance to everyday events. She attributes her excellent result partly to her teacher, Ms Foote, whose ‘charismatic’ delivery brings the subject to life. Veronica wishes to further her Business studies at university specialising in commerce or communications.

Veronica achievement was alongside her peers; Lucinda Pearl gained a High Distinction (Top 5%), four other Year 12 students received Distinctions and a further ten earned Credits.

Year 11’s results were just as impressive with six Distinctions and seventeen Credits.

A smaller cohort sat the Economics examination and gained a Distinction in each Year group and a total of nine Credits.
